Thank you to everyone who helped us celebrate our Fifth Building Anniversary, which we hosted in collaboration with Mayor Joe Bryant, Vice Mayor Susannah Meyer, the City of Brentwood, and the Friends of the Brentwood Library! The Friends of the Brentwood Library is proud to help our Library celebrate it’s 5 year anniversary. It’s hard to believe it’s been 5 years since the new building opened.

We hope you will join us for the celebration on Saturday, September 30th from 10 am to 12 pm.

There will be cake, crafts and a special storytime featuring guest reader, Mayor Bryant!

Mayor Bob Taylor addressed a crowd celebrating the opening of the new library building on September 29, 2018. Diana Alexander, President of the Brentwood Library Foundation is seated in the middle of a row of guests behind him. The Foundation raised over $700,000 for the new library.

Ana Castillo was the winner of a lovely book themed quilt in a drawing at the Second Story Bookshop at the Brentwood Library. She was one of the visitors to the bookshop who purchased tickets in the drawing organized by the Friends of the Brentwood Library.

 

 

 

Jaxson Sendig drew the ticket at the bookshop on July 28. The quilt was made by Carol Tomei, wife of longtime bookshop volunteer John Tomei.

For an opportunity to own a lovely book themed quilt you can purchase a ticket for $1 at the Second Story Bookshop at the Brentwood Library.  The Friends of the Brentwood Library will also be selling the tickets at the July 15 pop-up book sale. Buy more tickets and increase your chances to win! The lucky ticket will be drawn at 3 p.m. July 28. You don’t have to be present to win. The winner will be notified by phone or mail
