Friends Support Author Talk, Book Distribution for Fourth Graders

Lauren Tarshis, the author of the “I Survived” series, will talk about the series with fourth graders in a virtual visit Friday, May 26, from 1:30 to 2:45 pm.

The virtual visit will be available to students in the Brentwood Union School District schools. Students who are homeschooled or virtual students and their families are invited to view the talk at the Brentwood Library Community Room.

Fourth graders attending the event in the community room will be entered in a drawing to win a free “I Survived” book signed by Lauren Tarshis. Each book in the series tells a terrifying and thrilling story from history, through the eyes of a kid who lived to tell the tale.

The program is sponsored by the Friends of the Brentwood Library.

The Friends of the Brentwood Library also provided a set of “I Survived” books to all school libraries in Brentwood Union School District, and additional autographed books that Brentwood fourth graders can claim at the Brentwood Library using a secret password from their teacher.
