How to Donate Books
The Friends of the Brentwood Library would like to thank the community for an abundance of book donations. Without these donations, we could not operate our store. Proceeds from our sales benefit programs at the library.
At this time, while we are processing our influx of donations, we will be limiting donations. Book donations are accepted by appointment only. Please call 925-516-5284 or email friends.brentwoodlibrary@yahoo.com. You will be called or emailed with a time/date to bring donations. Please do not leave donations in the book drop, library or book shop bins.
We do not accept:
- Books older than 10 years old with the exceptions of classics and children’s books
- No digital media- audiobooks, DVD’s and CD’s
- No cookbooks, gardening, self-help or religion/spiritual
- Textbooks, Encyclopedias, Dictionaries, Time-Life books
