Take your Children Shopping

Take your Children Shopping

There’s a great shopping destination for your kids in downtown Brentwood–the Second Story Book Shop on the second floor of the Brentwood Library. Your little shoppers can browse our selection of great children’s books (most for 50 cents) and other purchases such as puzzles. Bring home the bargain buys in a roomy book bag! The book shop is open whenever the library is open. Your purchases benefit children’s programs at the library and other library programs

This year, patrons had the opportunity to vote for the book they wanted to read, and the winner was The Bandit Queens, by Parini Shroff. The book is filled with clever criminals, second chances, and wry and witty women. Parini Shroff received her MFA from the University of Texas at Austin and is a practicing attorney currently living in the San Francisco Bay Area.
